The Lecture

By Adele Friel Rhindress

Adele Friel was "Blackstone's Elusive Moth" when she traveled, as a teenager, with Harry Blackstone in the 1940s. At that time, Blackstone was known as the World's Greatest Magician. Adele has written her own stories about being his assistant, and what it's like traveling by train and performing on many stages in cities in Canada and the United States.

Her book is titled "MEMOIRS OF AN ELUSIVE MOTH Disappearing Nightly with Harry Blackstone & His Show of 1001 Wonders."

A special Question & Answer session is popular at the end of each lecture/interview. Rare photos and interesting stories about Blackstone himself and his cast are attention-getters for those who want to know what happened during the Golden Age of Magic, and the old-time Traveling Magic Shows.
